The Hearty Take
What is metabolic syndrome? Individuals with metabolic syndrome have at least 3 out of 5 of the following: high amounts of belly fat, blood pressure, blood glucose and triglycerides, or low HDL cholesterol (‘good cholesterol’). Improving gut integrity and reducing blood sugar can help to mediate inflammation and prevent metabolic disease. Green tea extract seems to help accomplish that job! Tea is also one of the few foods/beverages associated with longevity.
